1. Who processes Your personal data?
Musimap is the legal entity responsible for the processing of Your personal data in relation to the use of the Service. Deezer and/or Spotify may also process personal data related to You for their own purposes.
Musimap SA, a Belgian limited liability company, registered with the Crossroads bank for enterprises under company number 0568.490.472, having its registered offices at Rue de Harlez 51, 4000 Liège, Belgium (“Musimap”) is the controller and determines the means and purposes of the processing of Your personal data.
In addition, in order for You to log in to the Website, Musimap makes use of external social media modules of the following entities: Deezer SA, 12 rue d'Athènes 75009 Paris, France (“Deezer”) and Spotify USA Inc., 4 World Trade Center, 150 Greenwich Street, 62nd Floor, New York, NY 10007, USA (“Spotify”). You acknowledge that, when You log in through Your Deezer or Spotify account, Deezer or Spotify will provide Musimap with certain personal data, as detailed below and in the confirmation page available on Deezer or Spotify, and that Deezer and Spotify may also process personal data as controllers (e.g. the fact that You connected to the Website), in which case the collection and processing of Your data will be governed by Deezer’s or Spotify’s own separate privacy policy. Musimap recommends and encourages You to carefully read the privacy policy applicable to Deezer or Spotify before logging in. Musimap assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the personal data and privacy practices of such websites.
2. What categories of personal data does Musimap process?
Musimap processes the following categories of personal data related to You: Your name, surname, playlist(s) on Deezer or Spotify (those You created and those You subscribed to), Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) psychological profile, ego equilibrium characteristics, personal characteristics, musical characteristic of the playlist, date and time of analysis.
Musimap processes the following personal data relating to You in the framework of the provision of the Service:
(i) Personal data transmitted by Deezer or Spotify:
- Your name;
- Your surname; and
- Your playlist(s) on Deezer or Spotify (those You created and those You subscribed to).
(ii) Personal data generated by Musimap on the basis of the playlist You chose to analyze:
- Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) psychological profile;
- Ego equilibrium characteristics (degree of : spirituality, need of security, analysis level accuracy, self-care, self-awareness, self-control, attitude towards life, sociability, empathy, extroversion, sensuality, equanimity, positivity, sensibility);
- Personal characteristics (openness, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness, neurotiscm (as detailed in the (i) button of the relevant characteristic on the dedicated web page));
- Musical characteristics of the Playlist; and
- Date and time of analysis.
3. What is the purpose of processing and the legal ground?
Musimap processes Your personal data solely for the purpose of being able to provide the Service and generate the results it is intended for. Musimap processes Your personal data on the basis of Your consent, such processing being necessary to provide You with the Service and meet Your request to analyze Your playlists in order to generate Your personality profiles.
4. Does Musimap transfer Your personal data?
To provide You with the Service, Musimap may call upon subcontractors and service providers acting on Musimap’s behalf, including in relation to hosting, to whom certain personal data related to You may be communicated and with respect to which Musimap has taken appropriate measures to ensure the protection of Your personal data.
In order to host the Service, Musimap relies on Amazon Web Services Ireland Limited, a company incorporated and existing under the laws of Ireland, with registered office at One Burlington Plaza, Burlington Road, Dublin 4.
You also acknowledge the transfer of Your personal data in the event Musimap transfers all or a portion of its business or assets to a third party.
To the extent that this involves the transfer of personal data to countries outside of the European Economic Area that would not be considered by the European Commission as ensuring an adequate level of personal data protection, Musimap shall ensure that appropriate contractual measures are put in place in accordance with data protection legislation. A copy of those appropriate contractual measures can be provided upon request.
Musimap will not transfer any personal data to other third parties, including Deezer or Spotify.
5. What are Your rights and how can You exercise them?
You have the right to withdraw Your consent, to access to Your personal data, as collected and processed by Musimap, and to request their rectification or erasure (as the case may be) in the event that they would be inaccurate or unnecessary. In certain cases, You have the right to restriction of processing or to object to the processing as well as the right to data portability.
You have the right to withdraw Your consent to any processing at any time. This withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on consent made prior to such withdrawal.
If You consider that the processing of your personal data constitutes a violation of data protection legislation, You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of the European Union of Your usual place of residence or any other applicable jurisdiction, Your place of work or the place where the violation occurred.

6. How long are Your personal data being retained?
Musimap will in principle delete Your personal data within twelve (12) months following Your last login on the Website.
Musimap will delete Your personal data within twelve (12) months following Your last login on the Website, unless Musimap has a specific legitimate interest in storing Your personal data for a longer period, e.g. to the extent the data is required to clarify an alleged infringement of third party rights, to resolve a dispute, or to comply with a legal obligation. Any personal data which is contained in Musimap‘s or any of its subprocessor’s regular backups will not be deleted, provided that any such personal data shall remain subject to the confidentiality and data privacy and security terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy until destroyed.
